Day 1 : Nairobi – Mount Kenya (170 kms.)
Arrival from Europe at “Jomo Kenyatta” International Airport in Nairobi; after customs and immigration procedures, depart towards Mount Kenya across the rich tea and coffee plantations of Thika region and the Aberdares. Arrival at Serena Mountain Lodge at lunchtime. Afternoon devoted to game viewing from the panoramic verandah of the “tree hotel”, in the heart of the Mount Kenya National Park, in front of a salty lick where game is coming to drink at sunset.

Day 2 : Mount Kenya – Samburu (230 kms.)
After breakfast depart heading north towards Samburu National Park across the Mount Kenya region, rich in forests and plantations, to arrive at Isiolo district – last post before hitting the great North of Kenya.
Arrival in Samburu Game lodge at around lunchtime. Check-in and lunch at the lodge.
Relax time at the swimming pool overlooking Ewaso Nyiro River, and departure around 16.00 hrs. for an afternoon game drive to spot the several elephants of the Park, crocodiles and hippos, inhabitants of the Ewaso Nyiro which runs across the Game Reserve, the Rotschild giraffes and the Grevy zebras, peculiar from this region and, with a bit of luck, you might also be able to see leopards, quite often laying at sunset on the branches of the large acacia trees next to the river banks. Return to the lodge to enjoy an aperitif next a bonfire, close to the river, under a beautiful sky full of stars.

Day 3 : Samburu
Whole day spent on game drives in Samburu National Park.

Day 4 : Samburu – Sweet Waters Game Reserve (190 kms.)
After breakfast, depart towards Mount Kenya region up to Nanyuki, to proceed to the nearby Sweet Waters Game Reserve. Check-in and lunch at Sweet Waters T. Camp. After a brief relaxing time, game drive in the Reserve, rich in animals and birds, including a visit to the animal orphanage managed by Jane Goodall, expert researcher on wildlife and, above all, on primates’ life and behavior. At the orphanage you will be able to see the famous Morani – a huge, white, orphan rhino– and also different types of chimpanzees. Return to the Camp at sunset to enjoy sundowner on the verandah-observatory next to the restaurant, which has a fantastic view over the Reserve.

Day 5 : Sweet Waters Game Reserve – Nairobi “Jomo Kenyatta” (200 kms.)
After breakfast, depart heading south-west towards Nairobi and arrival to “Jomo Kenyatta” International Airport on time for flight back to Europe or to Mombasa (for those extending their staying on the Kenyan coast).
